I.T. Support Specialist

Summary
The I.T. Support Specialist provides technology support and manages the day-to-day operations of the server and network infrastructure.
Schedule is negotiable, and work can be completed in a hybrid model of remote and onsite office hours (minimum 3 days).
Essential Functions
The I.T. Support Specialist is responsible to:
- Manage help desk to assist staff, faculty, and students with technology problems.
- Maintain all technology hardware on campus (computers, servers, student computer lab, copiers, printers, etc.)
- Support, maintain and repair audiovisual technology for classes, meetings, and events through accurate and timely operations.
- Provide technical training for employees as needed.
- Maintain campus networks and wifi.
- Provision and deprovision users in an Active Directory environment.
- Administer user accounts, including Google Apps, Element451(CRM), Zapier, Populi & others.
- Support integrations between various systems.
- Manage inventory and supply employees with software and hardware as needed.
- Regularly review software and hardware applications for security issues, and ensure a safe computing environment.
- Assist with determining and defining the support impacts of new technology and planned software upgrades.
- Maintain proficiency of all hardware and applications supported.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. A degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a related field of study is preferred.
- 2-3 years experience troubleshooting software and network problems in a Microsoft environment.
- Ability to create and/or maintain scripts and executables in multiple languages including but not limited to PowerShell.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows-based PC’s and Mac, including basic networking, printer issues, and software installation.
- Demonstrate good problem-solving abilities with computers and technology.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Demonstrate proficiency in and ability to learn various Windows-based software products, and a basic understanding of networking.
- Experience administering Active Directory and Google for Education.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment (75+ lbs).
- Demonstrate expertise in Google Apps and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity and appreciation for the mission and values of The Seattle School.
Compensation & Benefits
The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology provides a competitive total compensation package (salary, benefits, time off and more), aligned with the nonprofit market. The pay range for this position is $26.00 – $32.00 per hour (DOE). Hours and schedule are negotiable, and can be done in a combination of remote and on campus hours (3 days minimum).
