The Seattle School Preview

Our mission is rooted in text.soul.culture. With a commitment to training leaders and healers for transformative work in a hurting world, we believe that education must be innovative, collaborative, and transformative. The decision to pursue graduate study is a big one—one that requires you to truly connect with the work you are called to do and the way you need to be shaped in order to engage authentically and sustain in your calling.

With this in mind, we’ve created Preview. Faculty, staff, alumni, and current students come together to host this gathering twice a year, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Come spend a day with us to engage in energizing conversations about who we are and who you might become with us.

At Preview, you can expect to connect with our faculty, staff, alumni, and current students as we engage in meaningful conversation about our enduring commitment to the intersection of text.soul.culture:

  • Hear from Dr. Angela Parker, Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies, to see what learning from the text could look like with us. Dr. Parker recently received second place in the Elisabeth Schüssler Fiorenza New Scholars Awards from Feminist Studies in Religion.
  • Learn about our distinct approach to caring for the soul from one of our Practicum Facilitators, Hannah Carnett.
  • Over a shared meal with current students, hear what being a part of The Seattle School culture has meant to them.

Knowing that coming to The Seattle School is an investment, we also want to take the time to address the application process, financial aid, and other admissions questions you may have. We will have optional information sessions on licensure for therapists, chaplaincy and ordination, and a potential move to Seattle.

We’d love for you to join us for this one-of-a-kind gathering, and we look forward to getting to know one another! Preview is free and all are welcome.
