Rebecca Shirley, Manager of Student Life Programs, introduces all incoming students to the events planned to welcome the 2018 cohort to The Seattle School community.

Here you will find the schedule of events for your first week of school. Hopefully by now you have received an email from me with this information as well. I am aware that it may feel like a lot. The days will indeed be full. But they are so because of how much will be available to you as you arrive and begin to get acclimated to the building and to the rhythms of life within it. My hope is that you will experience each gathering as an invitation, and the spaces within them as wide open. Know that there will be opportunities for information, for connection, and for you to breathe as you need to.

Feel free to ask any questions as you have them. I so look forward to meeting you!

Spouses/partners/families are welcome at all of these gatherings and childcare is provided for some events. Follow the links throughout the email for more information, including detailed schedules and registration. You will need to register separately for Orientation and (Re)Orientation. Please do so by August 22 (or August 13 if your children will be joining us) to assist us in our planning.
