Writing Center Consultations
The Writing Center Consultants are knowledgeable folks who can provide you with guidance and support on a wide variety of writing projects or other types of assignments. They can help no matter where you are in your process, from brainstorming ideas, to crafting a thesis, to outlining, to sentence-level polishing, to cheering you on as you submit your final draft.
Writing Center Consultants offer free one-on-one consultations online for students enrolled in The Seattle School’s graduate degree programs. Book a Zoom meeting with a Writing Center Consultant whenever you need support on a writing project. On campus appointments are not available at this time.
Click the link below to schedule a 40-minute appointment. We will e-mail you the Zoom link in advance of your appointment. Please do not share copies of papers or other documents via Google Drive or e-mail. You’ll be able to share your paper “live” using screen share during our meeting.
Note: Consultants are not available to read work in advance and will focus primarily on discussing, rather than reading, your work in progress. We do not copyedit, proofread, or check citations but will support and resource you towards editing your own work.

Writing Center Consultants are happy to help you brainstorm ideas, help you work out a good plan for writing, or read through drafts with you of papers for your courses. However, because they are not in your courses, Writing Center Consultants cannot assist you with course-specific concerns such as interpreting assignments or answering specific questions about what your instructors expect. If you have course-specific questions, such as needing further clarification on course topics, definitions of terms, or a specific assignment’s rubric, Assistant Instructors are better positioned to help you.
