Optional Events
The events listed below are optional and are ways for all students to connect across degree programs, modalities, and years. Required residency events and content for low-residency students are listed on the Residency schedule page
Winter Reception | Wednesday January 8 | 6:00-8:00 pmAll students are invited to come and (re)connect as we begin the term together, and as our low-res friends arrive for winter residency. We’ll have light refreshments and sweet treats to enjoy, as well as optional games and activities. Note: no alcohol will be served. Family, partners/spouses are welcome! No RSVP needed.
All students, employees, and your families are invited to come and eat together as we begin Winter Term and before our Annual Stanley Grenz Lecture with Dr. Yohana Junker.
Food will be served from Paparepas food truck (allergy-sensitive menu); all costs covered. RSVP here

BIPOC Student Group Events- Lunch | Thursday | 12:00-1:30 pm * in M3
- Switch Game Night | Thursday | 7:00 pm * Meet in front of the school; games night will be off campus nearby. There will be a switch and some board games. Feel free to also bring any games you want to play!

Come sing and skate at Southgate Roller Rink located in White Center! Hosted by the LGBTQIA+ Student Group. All students, friends, and family are welcome! Door fee is covered for students, but bring $5 for skates. Leanne and Sophia will be having dinner somewhere nearby too, if you want to join!

Dinner: Thursday 5:15 pm off-campus
Meet near the library (look for the sign or find Evelyn/Anita), and we’ll walk to Kaarage Setsuna together (7 minute walk); or meet us at the restaurant.
Lunch: Friday 12-1:30 pm in M3
