(S)ending Retreat
**NOTICE: Due to inclement weather the Thursday evening portion of the (S)ending Retreat has been cancelled**
Each year, the Office of Student & Alumni hosts a retreat to begin orienting all graduating students to “life post-graduate school.” During this time, you will have the opportunity to interact with each other, those specifically in your degree program (and alumni of those programs), and a variety of practical helps and workshops as you anticipate the coming endings, new beginnings, and the ever-pressing job search.
The retreat begins with dinner and reflection on Thursday evening. You’ll notice that we haven’t scheduled anything for Friday. That’s intentional. If at all possible, you are strongly encouraged to clear this day on your calendar and consider it a Sabbath at the heart of the (S)ending retreat. We hope that you will take this day to rest and play—perhaps enjoying nature, the city, or time with one another. Some of you may want to get together to tell stories and play games. Others may want to use this time to be alone and reflect. However you choose to use this day, we hope you’ll be intentional and set aside some moments to take a few deep breaths in gratitude for all the good work you have done throughout your time at The Seattle School.
Saturday is a day of engaging workshops, important information about participation in the community of the Alumni Association, and space to relax and reflect on your own needs in this season of endings and beginnings.
