Ministry Leaders Roundtable: Protecting Your Heart

Many aspects of how we gather as communities have changed dramatically over this past year and for some leaders and congregants, unearthed tender places that need healing and care.

A question we’ve heard time and time again from pastors and ministry leaders is: How do I care for myself and my congregation well in the midst of conflict? How do I protect my heart and receive feedback well at the same time?

Our annual Ministry Leaders Roundtable event welcomes lay and ordained ministry leaders to discuss the challenges of how we protect our hearts in ministry, offering resources and support across ministries and traditions. The bulk of our time together will be in small breakout groups to discuss and resource one another with teaching from Dr. Rose Madrid Swetman.

By sharing our learnings with one another, we help others avoid painful learning experiences, and glean from theirs. Faculty and staff of The Seattle School will be in attendance to learn from your experiences as we train ministry leaders to lead faith communities.
