Linda Ruthruff
Linda Ruthruff worked at New Horizons (NH), a Seattle non-profit serving homeless and street involved young people, for 25 years. She held a variety of positions including Associate Director, Development Director, Volunteer Coordinator, and Counselor/Case Manager. In 2009, in partnership with NH, she founded Street Bean Espresso – a Belltown café that provides employment and job training to empower young adults to leave street life.
She is a graduate of the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business and a 2010 recipient of Seattle University’s Albers School of Business Red Wing Leadership Award in recognition of outstanding leadership, business acumen, and positive social impact.
Linda currently serves as the Bookstore Manager at The Seattle School and provides consulting for the Social Entrepreneurship class. She is also a business coach providing consulting and training for both for-profit and non-profit businesses.
Linda and her husband Ron have been married for 28 years and have two adult sons, Ben & Clayton. For the last 25 years the Rainier Valley has been their home.
