Wild Goose Festival 2025
Once again, we are thrilled to be sponsoring and attending the Wild Goose Festival this year in Harmony, North Carolina! Stop by The Seattle School’s tent at the event, where you can meet us and chat. We’ll also have information about all our programs and opportunities to connect with our faculty and alumni.

Visio Divina: Where Art Meets Justice
with Heidi Marsh, MATC
This interactive workshop invites participants to explore the contemplative practice of “divine seeing” as a way to delve into themes of social justice through art. Together, participants will engage with visual and other forms of art that serve as both educational tools and sacred invitations to action.
Engage the Spirit: Meet Your Guardian Angel and Paint Them to Life
with Heidi Marsh, MATC
In this two-part experiential workshop, participants will be gently led through a guided meditation to encounter their guardian angel or spiritual guide, which they will then be invited to bring the images that emerge to life using plaster, paint, and gold leaf. Come to listen deeply, create boldly, and leave with a tangible reminder of the unseen presence that walks with you.
Eucontamination and the Power of Queer Joy
with Paul Hoard, PhD, and Billie Hoard
Join brother-sister duo, Paul and Billie Hoard, as they unpack the psychological and theological mechanisms at work through cis-heteronormative culture that the church often promotes. Explore an alternative perspective, Eucontamination, “contamination for good,” where Queerness acts as a force helping fellow Christians to recognize the full Body of Christ.
Play as Worship: Cultivating Thin Spaces
with Board Games with Paul Hoard, PhD and Katy Richardson, MACP
This experiential workshop invites participants to explore how board games can function as a form of Christian worship by cultivating communal “this spaces,” where the boundaries between the sacred and the ordinary become porous. Participants will leave equipped with practical strategies for considering the formative nature of games and play as a means of fostering connection, reflection, and spiritual depth.
If you’d like to meet up with a Seattle School representative during the festival, please send an email to Lauren Peiser, lpeiser@theseattleschoool.edu, Director of Partnerships, who will be at the conference!
