Melissa Glenn, MA
Melissa is a 2012 graduate of The Seattle School with her Master’s in Counseling Psychology. Her career journey has been an exciting one, spanning community behavioral health, non-profit, and educational settings. She also provides clinical supervision, consultation, and training through a private practice.
Melissa has enjoyed many years of clinical executive leadership in the Pacific Northwest. This includes overseeing large scale behavioral health, housing, human service, and training programs. She has unique experience developing mental health programs in non-traditional spaces, some of which have been the first of their kind and now serve as templates for similar efforts across the country. Examples include establishing a no-barrier social services program in a public library and creating curriculum for healthcare professionals at Washington colleges. As a collaborative leader, she is energized by the innovation that happens when diverse groups team up across industries.
As an educator, Melissa is passionate about offering professionals the tools necessary to feel successful and sustained in their work. To this end, she created a multi-tiered clinical supervision program for a large behavioral health agency, is a sought-after conference speaker, and has created eLearning courses for public service employees. She is also a published author on Trauma-Informed Practice and staff care.
Outside of work, Melissa is a quilter, loves snuggling with her dog (who is the cutest dog in the whole world), and lives for any activity in the sunshine!
