Rachel Zeller, MA
Rachel Zeller (they/them) graduated from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2021 with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology. Rachel has been working as an Instructional Assistant since 2021. In this role, they support student learning in one course per term and provide technical and grading support to the faculty. They also occasionally provide lectures once per term for the course they support. Last Fall 2025, they began a second role at The Seattle School as the Field Experience Coordinator (FEC). In this role, they connect with prospective internship sites and assess if they can provide quality training for The Seattle School students. Rachel also supports The Seattle School students by providing information on the internship process and how best to prepare for the application.
Since graduating, Rachel has worked as a licensed associate mental health counselor. They are currently located at a private group practice in Puyallup, WA. Additionally, they are also still a student as they are currently a doctoral candidate in a clinical psychology program. They are practicing a clinical practicum at a neuropsychological assessment site in Issaquah, WA. Rachel’s dissertation focuses on the value of comic-cons for the mental well-being of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people. They are an active committee member for APA’s Division 39 (psychoanalysis/psychodynamics) and the Society for Personality Assessment. They are a research assistant for a qualitative psychodynamic research laboratory. Soon, they will be preparing to apply for internships in Fall 2026.
