Community Christmas Celebration on The Islander Yacht

Come celebrate Christmas at The Seattle School! As a community, we celebrate the Incarnation with two days of feasting and play: the Community Christmas Celebration on the waters of Lakes Union and Washington, followed by the Family Christmas Party the next morning in the Commons.

We invite you to take a break from the intensity of finals to enjoy live jazz, good food, beverages, and conversation with friends as we set sail on The Islander Yacht. On board, participate in the 12th annual Christmas Art Auction – offering art and crafts made by students and alumni, with half of the proceeds going to the artists and the other half to a local charity.

All faculty, staff, students, spouses/partners, significant others and families* are invited to attend. Boarding begins at 6:30pm at 1611 Fairview Ave East and the boat will depart at 7:00pm sharp. Dress warmly!

Tickets** are $20 if purchased before December 4 ($25 after, as tickets are available). All tickets must be purchased in advance! Alcohol will be served at this event; price of admission includes 3 drink tickets for beer, wine, and/or non-alcoholic beverages. Mixed drinks will be available for purchase. Further directions and information will be made available to registrants after December 5

*Children are invited on the boat with their parents. For parents who wish to attend the celebration without their children and need help paying for childcare, The Seattle School will pay 50% of all childcare costs up to $30. Contact Yurushka Martin at for more information.

**Registrants are responsible for the price of the ticket(s) regardless if they attend the event or not. To cancel your registration and/or receive a refund, contact Megan Doner at no later than Thursday, December 7 at 7pm.

The following morning, December 9, you are also invited to join us for the annual Family Christmas Party in the Commons.
