The events listed below are optional and are ways for all students to connect across degree programs, modalities, and years. Required residency events and content for low-residency students are listed on the Residency schedule page

 

Winter Wonderland Residency Reception

Wednesday, January 7 | 4:00-6:00 pm

All students who are local or in town for residency are invited to an open-house-style reception with charcuterie, desserts, alcoholic and nonalcoholic refreshments! Come enjoy informal space to reconnect with friends, old and new.

Note the earlier time compared to previous residencies.

Student Group Meet-ups

Thursday, January 8

  • 12-2 pm Access Lunch: Folks with neurodiversity, chronic pain, and/or disabilities are invited to connect over lunch, share questions, experiences, resources. RSVP to Daniel (dtidwell@theseattleschool.edu)
  • 12-2 pm Sage Lunch: A space for students who are later in life, returning to school after time away, caring for aging parents or families while attending school, etc. RSVP to Heather (heather.koontz@theseattleschool.edu).
  • 6 pm Queeraoke House Party!: LGBTQIA+ student group invites you to join us Thursday, January 8th at 6pm at Libby Chapman’s (1724 NE 56th St Seattle, WA 98105) for dinner, karaoke, and good vibes. Everyone is welcome! Please RSVP to Leanne at (832) 465-7625 or leanne.klingenberg@theseattleschool.edu and let her know if you have any dietary restrictions, need a ride, or have a ride to share!

This is a community meal for all students, employees, and our families who live locally or are in town for the residency. Food from Paparepas Food Truck will be provided and seating will be available inside throughout the building.
