Daniel Walkup

Daniel Walkup is dedicated to the safety and well-being of The Seattle School Community and the Red Brick Building. As the Safety & Facilities Manager, he enjoys helping wherever he can and gravitates to wherever the need for operational support is greatest. Daniel also serves as Chair of both the Safety and Covid-19 Committees.

Daniel graduated from Seattle University in 2011 with a MA in Criminal Justice and earned a Facilities Management Certificate from the University of Washington in 2020. He has spent his career in higher education for over fifteen years across four different institutions specializing in campus operations. Daniel’s areas of responsibility currently include Facilities, Janitorial Services, Institutional Support and Front Desk, Access control and Security, and Emergency Management.

When not printing access badges, replacing light ballasts, or writing safety reports, Daniel is a husband, father of three girls, and amateur adventurer and even more amateur drummer. He can be found gallivanting through the forests and trails of Kitsap County with his family, swimming at the Bremerton YMCA, or sipping coffee serenely while drumming wildly—either on a desk, table, or drum set, it really doesn’t matter.
