Rachel Sanchez, MDiv
As the Program Manager at the Center for Transforming Engagement, Rachel Sanchez handles administrative program management tasks, customer care, team care, and any other needed coordination to make our programs a reality. With her background in event management, she really enjoys the hospitality and hosting aspects of her role.
She is passionate about creating spaces–onsite and virtually–which allow people to have a new understanding of themselves and others. Since arriving at The Seattle School in 2020, she has loved the emphasis on embodiment which aligns with how she designs experiences, taking into account all of our human needs–physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Rachel received her Master of Divinity from Duke University School of Divinity in 2014. Her experience in program management began at age 14 when she started planning high school youth group retreats and also began developing a number of skills and capacities that she continues to use today.
Rachel lives in Vancouver, WA with her Yorkie, Owen, and her human partner, Joseph. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, they moved to the Pacific Northwest to escape the heat. When she’s not working, she enjoys hyperfixating on new hobbies such as watercolor, sketching, painting, reading, gardening, cooking, to name a few. She also loves hiking with her dog. Still on her PNW bucket list: whale watching in the San Juans.
