Enika Cocoli Bowen, PhD

Dr. Cocoli Bowen earned her degrees in Social and Developmental Psychology from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy, and in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University. Her clinical work rests on the British Object Relations tradition of psychoanalysis, as well as inspirations from the works of theologians, composers, and classic and contemporary writers. Aided by the experience of a full private practice, Dr. Cocoli Bowen teaches through an emphasis on listening over-interpreting, being curious and attentive to the patients’ stories. The interweaving of psychoanalysis, theology, literature, and music help surpass conceptual knowing and emphasize listening, to let our patients be our best teachers.
