The Scholarship Fund
2012-2013 Scholarship Recipients
Alumni, your gift to the Scholarship Fund will embolden a leader
The cost of graduate school is high, but more than ever, the world needs women and men who are uniquely trained to serve God and neighbor through transforming relationships. Though all enrolled students receive a reduced tuition rate because of donations, the Scholarship Fund allows The Seattle School to extend additional funds to students poised to greatly impact the communities in which they will eventually serve.
Receiving a Scholarship not only relieved some financial stress but it encouraged me to see myself as leader. As I have sat in classes this semester and worked on my own personal issues, I’ve begun to dream of how I can help others to be able to move past some of their own tragedies. I am forever changed, and I am grateful.
—Barbara Holcomb
Knowing others invested in me encourages me to steward the gift of my leadership more tenderly, and I can't imagine a greater award, nor a more needed one.
—Kate Davis
About the Scholarships
This year, The Seattle School Scholarship Fund will provide $50,000 toward two important scholarships.
The Alumni Scholarship for Leadership Excellence is awarded to students who have demonstrated maturity, integrity, and humility in previous leadership experiences.
The Cultural Diversity Scholarship is awarded to students who reflect the rich ethnic and cultural diversity of the society in which we live and who embrace diversity as an essential component to the Kingodm of God.
Recipients of these scholarships will go on to serve God and neighbor as therapists, pastors, artists, and leaders. They will be uniquely prepared to engage the brokenness of this world with the hope of the gospel.
