The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology has announced the hire of Rev. Andrea Saccoccio as Director of Advancement. In this new role, Saccoccio will serve as primary fundraiser for The Seattle School, and she will also explore a variety of ways to advance the work of the institution in programs, community engagement, and innovative projects. She will report to Cathy Loerzel, The Seattle School’s Vice President of Advancement.
“I am so thrilled to have Andi join our staff—not just for all of her expertise and experience, but for the dedication, wisdom, and creativity she brings to her work,” says Loerzel. “Our entire community is going to benefit from having her here.”
Saccoccio’s significant and varied experience includes serving as Community Team Lead for a staff of 40 at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle, working as Director of Student Mobilization for the International Justice Mission, 10 years on staff with InterVarsity in New England, serving as Campus Pastor and Adjunct Faculty at Whitworth University in Spokane, and nonprofit leadership in the area of human trafficking.
She is ordained in the Presbyterian Church, USA, and is working to complete a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Seminary, focusing on change management and conflict resolution. She also received her Master of Divinity from Fuller.
“Her work as a pastor, leader, educator, innovator, and administrator has prepared her well to give leadership to our highly relational work with existing and prospective donors,” says Dr. Keith R. Anderson, President of The Seattle School.
Saccoccio worked part-time at The Seattle School for several months, reviewing grant possibilities and helping explore innovative opportunities for future programs, before stepping into her new position earlier this month. Her experience in pastoral leadership, campus ministry, administrative leadership, budgetary oversight, teaching, and program development makes her an exciting addition to The Seattle School staff as we continue to develop programs that are robustly Christian, deeply questioning, and profoundly human.
