Visiting The Seattle School
We would love to have you visit The Seattle School and we have created several opportunities for you to enter our walls and experience for yourself what The Seattle School is all about. Check out the opportunities below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Admissions.
You are invited to join us for Preview – a day designed for a robust experience of The Seattle School community. The Seattle School Preview happens twice a year - once in the fall and once in the spring - and it is the best way to get a full experience of what it would be like to be a student here. The entire community - faculty, staff, students, and alumni - come together to host prospective students. We'd love to have you. Register or see the schedule.

Explore Seattle
When you come to visit The Seattle School, be sure to make some time to play in Seattle. There are tons of great places to eat, markets to peruse, and scenic views in and outside the city.
Around The Seattle School
The Seattle School is perfectly located within many of Seattle's greatest treasures (including a big one in the shape of a Space Needle!)
Pike Place Market
Pike Place Market is wonderful (and packed) in the summer, but you should go regardless of the time of year. Be sure to go hungry!
Olympic Sculpture Park
On nice days, students head here to study, eat lunch, and get inspired by the collection of sculptures. There are some nice trails to the waterfront and great views of Puget Sound.
Seattle Space Needle
The Seattle tourist destination. Plan your timing to catch the sunset while your at the top of the Needle and you won't regret it.
Seattle Art Museum
The SAM is a great spot to enjoy our modern art collection. Check the SAM site to see which exhibit is currently in town.
It’s a modern architectural wonder. Check it out – and make sure to go all the way to the Reading Floor on the top level.
Our Seattle Favorites
There are tons of things to do and places to eat in Seattle, and they're all great. But these hidden gems are our favorite parts about our city.
Experience a coffee cupping at an authentic coffee shop that roasts direct trade coffee in-house.
Everyday at 3 o’clock
1115 12th Avenue (Capitol Hill)
Seattle’s very own version of Willy Wonka’s delectable realm, all organic and fair-trade, of course! The shop has loads of free chocolates to sample and the tours (about $5) are really interesting.
3400 Phinney Avenue N. (Fremont)
Take a hike through the forest or take in views of the Olympic Mountain range from the pebble beach without leaving the city!
